Conny Dietzschold Gallery

Established in 1989 in Cologne, Germany, Conny Dietzschold (formerly Die Weisse Galerie), represents emerging, mid-career and established artists. The gallery features painting, sculpture, installation, photography, video and new media.

The program of the gallery over the past fifteen years has been in general international contemporary art, with a focus on new tendencies in conceptual, concrete and constructive art.

Since 1997 the gallery has organised exhibitions including Australian art, introducing artists such as Tracey Moffatt, Fiona Tan and Jenny Watson. Since 1999 Conny Dietzschold specialises in Cologne in contemporary art from Australia and New Zealand only.? In the year 2000 Conny Dietzschold migrated to Sydney and opened in October 2001 two galleries located within Sydney's new Gallery Complex in Waterloo together with eight other galleries and a Cafe.

The gallery in Sydney, CONNY DIETZSCHOLD GALLERY, represents her stable of international contemporary artists and brings them into dialogue with Australian artists.? CONNY DIETZSCHOLD GALLERY is a member of the German Galleries Association BVDG, a member of the German-Australian Chamber of Commerce, and participates in a number of international art fairs each year.

The feature article in The Southern Courier (20.10.09) heralded Conny as a pioneering force in the art world. ? Art itself makes us think. And I am always interested in new thoughts. This is where different cultures meet, where different generations meet. For the beholder, art is always a reflection of ourselves, it is a silent process, it is about a piece of art talking to you.?
